WorldGate operating again after Aequus agreement

WorldGate Communications Inc. said Tuesday it and Aequus Technologies Corp. have settled their dispute and Aequus will provide video phone maker WorldGate with $6.5 million so it can resume operations.

Trevose, Pa.-based WorldGate said Aequus will pay it $5 million to provide support and training that will enable Aequus' Snap Telecommunications Inc. subsidiary to build and operate its own data center. Aequus of Pine Brook, N.J., also will buy $1.5 million worth of WorldGate's Ojo video phones in the near term.
