Comcast to begin trial of new high speed Internet service

Comcast Corp. said Thursday it has made Minnesota's Twin Cities region the first market to get its new high-speed Internet service, which enables users to download data at up to 50 megabits per second and upload data at up to 5 mbps.

Given the recent complaints about Bittorrent throttling and reduced High-Def video quality, this extra bandwidth is a much needed addition to Comcast's infrastructure.
