Daily Mission is a social website with one simple goal for its community: have fun and be active!

DM is a community content website where people -- from grandmothers to your girlscout leaders to internet gamers who live in their mothers' basements (hi mom!) -- can come and post a mission to the masses. People from all over the world can come to dailymission.com to see what you've posted and actively participate.

Active Participation is the key to daily mission. Where you might spend hours a day aimlessly browsing the web, Daily Mission gives you a purpose to keep coming back. You can participate in missions by adding your own responses to them, or you can participate by voting and rating them. Or if you really want make us happy, you can do both!
So What Are Missions?

Not to be vague, but Missions can be everything and anything. Got a funny picture and want to see what kind of captions people can come up with? Create a Caption Mission. Have a caption and want to see what kind of pictures people can come up with? Create a Reverse Caption Mission!

Missions are not just open-ended discussion areas where content continually flows in forever. Missions have a finite life. When you create a new mission, you give it a start date -- when people are allowed to participate -- and an end date -- when participation ends.

We have created custom-tailored mission types to give you the fun and entertaining experience that you're looking for. We are constantly expanding our mission selection in response to our community's demands. You can see our list of mission types by clicking Create Mission at the top of this page. How Do I Participate?

We have worked hard at making participating extremely easy and fast. If a mission is still accepting participation, there is a participation button listed at the top of the page with the description of the mission. If it's closed for participation, though, you can still participate in the voting process. You can rate things as hits (thumbs up) or misses (thumbs down); you can flag content as SPAM, Mature, or Off Topic, and you can add pieces of content to your favorites. And don't forget to share! You can share by using the share icon on the mission page to post to your friends and family on FaceBook, MySpace, Twitter, and many others! You can also send an email directly from the mission page
