Digital Voice Business Lifts Profit at Comcast

The AP is reporting that Comcast showed an 8% jump in profits in it's second quarter this year.

While they continue to loose television subscribers to rival Verizon and others, the loss was within analyst expectations. The growth is attributed to an increase in subscribers for the digital voice service.

Comcast is now the one of the largest phone companies in the U.S.

Franklin Electronic Publishers cuts 10% of U.S. jobs

The Philadelphia Business Journal is reporting that Franklin Electronic Publishers Inc. President and CEO Barry Lipsky laid-off 10% of it's workforce in May.
